Japanese IPTV Playlist

Personal M3U playlist for Japanese TV channels — 154 channels covering Tokyo and Kansai terrestrial, BS, CS, Rakuten streaming, and FAST channels. All akariko-sourced streams are 1080p.

No VPN versions

For users outside Japan who don’t have a VPN or geo-routing service, use the JP_NoVPN playlists (101 channels — all geo-locked Rakuten, FAST, and NEW KPOP channels removed):

These playlists contain only streams that work globally without any geo-routing (akariko, primehome, and NHK World-Japan).

Backup playlists (primehome fallback)

If akariko streams go down, use these backup playlists. They swap all akariko streams to primehome as a fallback source (120 of 154 channels - 34 akariko-only channels with no primehome equivalent are excluded):

Note: primehome streams are lower quality than akariko (SD/544p for most channels vs akariko 1080p). Use these only when akariko is down, and switch back when it recovers.

The JP_NoVPN playlists include 101 of the above channels — all terrestrial, BS, and CS channels that don’t require geo-routing. The 53 removed channels are Rakuten exclusives (news, music decades, anime studios, variety), FAST channels, and NEW KPOP.

FAST channels

The playlist includes 18 free ad-supported (FAST) channels from fastv.jp, marked with “(FAST)” in their display names and distributed into the relevant categories — 時代劇TV, アニマックス FREE, 韓流チャンネル, GOLF LIFE, ペットTV, and more. All have EPG coverage via the karenda source. Note: FAST channels are geo-locked to Japan and are not included in the JP_NoVPN playlists.

EPG

The playlist references four EPG sources directly in its header — your player will automatically load and merge them:

  Covers NHK World-Japan and provides additional fallback data for terrestrial, BS, and CS channels

These sources are automatically loaded by IPTV players that read the url-tvg header.

If your player doesn't auto-load EPG Sources, add them manually in your player's EPG settings.

Stream sources

Streams come from a mix of:

• akariko.netgenx.site — akariko 1080p restreams (99 channels — terrestrial, BS, and most CS)
• livetv.fastv.jp — FAST channel streams (18 channels)
• cdn-*.tsv2.amagi.tv and *.akamaized.net — Rakuten streams (34 Rakuten-exclusive channels)
• media-tyo.hls.nhkworld.jp — NHK’s official CDN (NHK World-Japan)
• cdns.jp-primehome.com — primehome restreams (1 channel: Kids Station)

Some streams are geo-restricted to Japan. If you’re outside Japan, you’ll need a Japanese VPN, residential proxy, or service like ControlD with JP routing to access them. Note that Rakuten-sourced streams are more strictly region-locked than akariko streams — where a channel is available from both sources, the akariko stream is used. NHK World-Japan is available globally without restrictions.

If a channel won’t play, try clearing your player’s cache. Streams occasionally rotate URLs.

Geo-routing with ControlD

101 of 154 channels work globally without a VPN (all akariko, primehome, and NHK World streams). The remaining 53 channels (Rakuten, FAST, NEW KPOP) are geo-locked to Japan.

If you use ControlD, add these 6 domains as custom rules routed through a Japanese proxy. This keeps the 101 global channels on your direct connection and only routes the geo-locked streams through Japan:
